Madison Hunt is partnered with one of Europe’s most established infrastructure investors to appoint a Vice President to join its Infrastructure Private Equity team in London. The firm has built a market-leading platform investing across the risk spectrum in a diversified mix of Energy Transition, Digital, Social, and Transport Infrastructure assets. Following a period of significant growth and fund raising, the team is looking to expand its investment capabilities through this (and other) key additions.


The position offers an experienced investment professional the opportunity to take a leading role in origination, execution, and asset management of infrastructure investments across both traditional and next-generation sectors. Operating within a well-sized, high-performing team and supported by the scale and resources of a global platform, the role provides real autonomy, visibility, and direct influence over strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transaction workstreams from origination through to execution, including valuation, due diligence, structuring, and negotiation.
  • Drive deal sourcing efforts, leveraging market relationships and contributing to thematic research to identify new investment opportunities across Europe.
  • Oversee and review detailed financial models and valuation analyses, ensuring robust decision support for investment committee processes.
  • Manage cross-functional workstreams with external advisors (financial, legal, technical, commercial) and internal stakeholders to deliver efficient execution.
  • Support active asset management and value creation initiatives, working closely with portfolio company management teams to enhance operational performance and strategic growth.
  • Contribute to fundraising and investor engagement efforts, including preparation of materials and participation in investor discussions where appropriate.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture.


Candidate Profile

  • 5-7 years’ experience specifically across both investment banking and infrastructure private equity, with a strong execution track record.
  • Solid exposure to infrastructure sectors such as Energy, Utilities, Digital Infrastructure, Transport, or Social Infrastructure.
  • Excellent technical grounding in financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis, with strong commercial judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions end-to-end, including due diligence, financial structuring, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing external counterparties under tight timelines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to interact confidently with senior management and investors.
  • Additional European language skills are highly advantageous.
  • Motivated self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a long-term commitment to infrastructure investing.
