Full-timeBusiness Development, Sales

We exist to help organisations solve the most complex and challenging problems that are holding them back, building the leadership capability and teams that can sustain meaningful change. Complex challenges won’t wait for perfect answers. We work side-by-side with our clients, giving them pragmatic, immediately useful tools to gain clarity, focus, and results from day one. Our deeper purpose is to equip leaders, teams, and individuals with the lasting capabilities to drive high performance, accelerate impactful outcomes, and continuous improvement — long after we’re gone. Our company was founded by Dr Jeff Sutherland, a US Veteran, the co-creator of Scrum and signatory to the Agile Manifesto. We have deep multi-sector experience, including UK and US Defence, the NHS and Pharmaceuticals.

Role Description:

We are looking for a Senior Agile Transformation Consultant who brings a track record of real-world impact, not just impressive qualifications. Your experience, judgement, and personal leadership matter more to us than the letters after your name.

You:

·      Have experience in complex business transformations – ideally across multiple teams, programmes, or value streams – and can clearly demonstrate how your work has improved outcomes for the business.

·      Are equally comfortable at Executive level and on the team floor – able to coach executives on operating model change and connecting strategy to execution.

·      Roll up your sleeves and lead from the front when needed – facilitating pivotal workshops, unblocking delivery issues, and modelling the behaviours you expect from others.

·      Coach effectively at team, programme, and value-stream level, applying appropriate practices and ways of working in a pragmatic, outcome-focused way rather than following any single approach dogmatically.

·      Show grit and tenacity – you can navigate resistance, ambiguity, and organisational politics, and still create meaningful progress where others may have stalled.

·      Act as a trusted partner, not a supplier – you take shared ownership of outcomes, and your advice reflects that accountability. You care about sustainable change, not slideware and surface-level “Agile theatre”.

We have shared equity in our clients’ success: when they win, we win. Your approach, mindset, and behaviours must reflect that sense of ownership, responsibility, and professionalism in every engagement. We spend approximately 60% of our time on site with the client (Tue-Thu weekly) but we are occasionally required outside of these times. When not onsite, we remain accountable in a virtual work mode.

Key Accountabilities:

·      Help clients implement and adapt their Organisational Effectiveness, Operating Model design and Change strategies through appropriate interventions and consultancy support.

·      Build effective relationships with, earn the trust of, and support a wide range of stakeholders from senior executive to delivery leads.

·      Optimise the delivery of value to clients by assessing and understanding organisational structures, processes and culture to identify areas for improvement.

·      Assist clients to develop metrics and benchmarks to track performance.

·      Design and deliver tailored interventions (workshops, training, insights etc.) to help clients upskill and solve complex problems and challenges.

·      See, and where necessary help the client to see, the bigger picture so that they optimise the entire eco-system. Seek opportunities to maximise delivery of value by aligning the full suite of Scrum Inc. capabilities to the client needs.

·      Communicating with clients and stakeholders in an effective way (accuracy, brevity and with clarity are important) that drives progress, collaboration and understanding.

·      Develop high quality deliverables that reflect the level of strategic thought, care and attention to detail that enables the client to move forward

·      Be able to design, build and execute Strategic organisational processes (such as strategic planning, budgeting and finance, procurement) to unlock Agility while maintaining the minimum viable bureaucracy.

The Person we are looking for will have the following strengths:

·      Experience: Proven experience of delivering measurable and sustainable improvement in the effectiveness within large and complex organisations. Must have experience at Team and Value Stream levels of the organisation and be able to demonstrate significant impact with previous clients (client endorsed Case Studies will provide valuable evidence of this). Our consultants are Agile minded people, but we favour outcomes over practices and pragmatism over dogma. Our purpose is to help clients be successful by being more Agile rather than doing more Agile.

·      Leadership: The ability to lead a small team of consultants in moderately complex engagements across more than one client value stream.

·      Presence: The ability to ‘command the room’. Must be capable of delivering (both in style and substance) in front of an audience of senior stakeholders and earn their trust, respect and confidence.

·      Emotional Intelligence:  Self-aware and respectful of the views, concerns and emotions of others. Able to ‘read the room’ and adapt accordingly.

·      Humility: Someone who listens and seeks to understand. A person whose instinctive response to a problem or challenge, regardless of experience, is that they don’t have the answer. They always seek to be part of the collective response to find the best solution.

·      Initiative: A self-starter who defines themself as a finisher. The ability to translate intent into outcomes that exceed client expectations. Must be comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity, recognising that clients need help understanding what a good outcome might be.

·      Flexibility and adaptability: Constantly seeking opportunities to find the optimum path to a successful outcome.

·      Motivation: Puts the team and the client first.  Focusses on the highest value work and instinctively seeks to collaborate with others in the pursuit of team outcomes. Seeks opportunities for professional self-development that build the capacity of the organisation to deliver increased value to clients.

·      Drive: The ability and motivation to work at pace and meet demanding client timelines. Relentlessly pursues excellence and seeks to address complacency. Brings their whole self to work every day and inspires positivity within the team.

·      Resilience: Able to navigate setbacks and resistance with patience and determination. The ability to give, receive and act upon feedback. The capacity to work under pressure and dig deep when required. The ability to smile in tough times and help others do the same.

·      Inclusivity: A decent, warm and kind human being who is grounded in reality, and who cares passionately about their colleagues and clients. A person who cares about how they are perceived and embraces diversity in all its forms. Strong alignment with scrum values.

·      Trustworthiness: Can be depended upon to do the right thing and meet their commitments. They acknowledge their failures and shortcomings and provide a safe space for others to do the same.  Capable of being a "critical friend" that can challenge the client and team constructively where needed, but "disagree and commit" when decisions don't go your way.

·      Team member. Ability and willingness to function, grow and deliver as a unified team supporting clients, our brand and one another.
