Exaquai is a specialist software development consultancy partnering with high-growth startups and established businesses to design, build, and scale modern applications. We combine strong engineering practices with a pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach — helping founders and product teams bring ambitious ideas to life.

We’re currently looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join us on two exciting greenfield AI products:

• An AI-powered sales coaching platform
• An AI-driven contract analysis solution for M&A transactions

Both are fast-moving, technically complex products backed by a modern Java/REST API stack — offering a chance to shape the front end from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

As a Front End Developer at Exaquai, you’ll:

• Own significant front end features end-to-end using Vue.js (Vue 3 + Composition API)
• Integrate seamlessly with REST APIs and GraphQL
• Work directly with founders and product stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver elegant, practical solutions
• Shape UI/UX patterns, component libraries, and front end best practices across projects
• Contribute to code quality through clean architecture, thoughtful reviews, and maintainable design

You’ll join a small, senior team where your ideas are visible, valued, and make a real impact.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a hands-on engineer who enjoys collaborating closely with product and design to craft well-built, user-friendly interfaces.

You’ll bring:

• 3–5 years of professional front end development experience
• Strong expertise with Vue.js (Vue 3, Composition API)
• Solid understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs
• Comfort working from high-level requirements and iterating quickly in an agile environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A focus on quality, maintainability, and usability
• Valid work rights in Australia

Bonus Points For

• Experience with Java-based back ends
• Background in B2B SaaS, AI/ML, or data-heavy interfaces
• Familiarity with front end testing (unit, integration, or end-to-end)
• Experience in consultancy or startup environments
