The focus of the Corporate Services Division is to ensure Cancer Council’s corporate services operate to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness to ensure compliance and support the organisation to deliver on its Strategic Priorities.


The Information Technology (IT) and more specifically the Digital team is where you’ll be situated within Cancer Council. Our digital vision is to prevent cancer, empower patients and save lives through connection, collaboration and innovation. The IT team champions this vision and supports the rest of the organisation in its realisation. We deliver the software platforms, infrastructure, support, security and services that enable Cancer Council Victoria as a digital-first organisation.


About your opportunity

We are seeking a Front-End Developer to join the Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Lead Web Developer your role is to:

  • Deliver solutions across a range of project sizes, from minor enhancements to full-scale website builds
  • Work on React/NextJS website applications hosted in Vercel through Github, using contentful CMS
  • Develop and maintain enterprise CMS templates, modules, and integrations with third-party services.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies (e.g. standups, planning, retros) and collaborate with the team to prioritise and deliver development tasks.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical planning. Recommend improvements to development processes and digital capabilities


All about you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualification in computer science, digital technology, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in front-end web development.
  • Proficiency with modern front-end technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React).
  • Experience with CMS platforms, preferably headless (Contentful) in a composable architecture.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web integrations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills within multidisciplinary teams, including translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
