Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong expertise in Java/Kotlin and hands-on exposure to BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building secure, high-performance mobile applications for financial services, adhering to regulatory, compliance, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain native Android applications using Java/Kotlin, optimized for BFSI use cases such as onboarding, payments, wallets, transactions, and secure authentication.
  • Build modular, scalable applications using MVVM/MVI and Clean Architecture.
  • Create intuitive UIs using XML, Jetpack Compose, Material Design, and follow accessibility guidelines.
  • Integrate with REST APIs, JSON, and SQL databases, including secure communication with backend services.
  • Ensure application compliance with BFSI standards: secure coding, data encryption, OWASP Mobile Security, authentication flows, and transaction integrity.
  • Optimize mobile app performance, memory usage, and reliability across the app lifecycle.
  • Implement robust unit testing and UI testing using JUnit and Espresso.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Backend .NET/C#, iOS/Swift, QA, Security, DevOps).
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, GitHub, and Agile development practices.
  • Manage deployment to Google Play and ensure smooth release cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in Android application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java or Kotlin, Android Studio, Gradle, REST, JSON, SQL, XML.
  • Deep knowledge of Android architecture, MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture, and Jetpack components.
  • Experience working on BFSI mobile applications (e.g., digital banking, loan apps, payments, KYC, e-wallets, insurance apps).
  • Strong understanding of BFSI regulatory and security needs—data privacy, encryption, secure sessions, and API security.
  • Expertise in Unit Testing & TDD, including JUnit and Espresso.
  • Strong experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity), and Agile/Scrum.
  • Good knowledge of HTML & CSS for hybrid or embedded content support.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning, memory management, and secure coding.
