We have a current opportunity for Cyber Security services, including a Security Lead, Security Engineer and IT Security Officer (ITSO), on a contract basis within the Defence sector. These roles are based in Canberra and/or REMOTELY. The contract is for an initial 13 month period, with a 12 month extension option.

Start: circa 1 December 2025

DSS Skill Set: Level 3 - Systems and Software Engineering - System Security

The Cyber Secuirty team will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

1. Shared Monitoring & Response: A 24x7 service that is delivered by a shared pool of resources located off site.
2. Dedicated Engineering: On site to deliver security engineering and detection engineering work to maintain the Sentinel, Purview, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Cloud Apps, and so on.
3. Dedicated Security Lead: On site to provide technical security advice, secure cloud architecture, overseeing implementation of security controls, conducting regular security audits/reviews, risk assessments, and management of risks.
4. Dedicated ITSO: On site to conduct day-to-day management of IT Security activities, ensuring access control is maintained, vulnerability management processes are followed, conducting compliance checks, maintaining security registers, and other routine tasks.
5. T&M Incident Response: Services to be utilised in case of major incident for eradication of threat and service restoration.
6. T&M Threat Hunting: Services to deliver intelligence-lead threat hunting to identify advances adversaries that may be hiding within the environment.
7. T&M GRC: Services required for carrying out ICT accreditation work to obtain Authority to operate and other approvals.

1. AGSVA Security clearance

2. Defence experience
