As we continue to expand our product offerings and impact, we’re looking for a passionate Java Software Engineer to join our team.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Java Software Engineer at Equo. The Java Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Work on advanced technical projects and our core product, aimed at transforming traditional desktop applications into sleek, web-based or cloud-ready solutions
- Collaborate with our open-source community and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Equo’s cutting-edge products
- Assist in modernizing legacy applications by integrating Equo’s state-of-the-art solutions, ensuring consistent user interfaces across multiple platforms
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and optimization processes to maintain high code quality and performance standards
- Engage with existing customers to gather feedback and ensure our solutions meet their development needs
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Java development, particularly in desktop application environments
- Desirable: Experience with Flutter or Compose Multiplatform (Kotlin), particularly in creating modern, cross-platform UIs
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their integration into Java applications
- Experience with cross-platform environments (Windows, macOS, Linux) is a plus
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Open-Source: Experience contributing to or working with open-source projects is highly valued
