# Internship proposal 2025/2026 - Hopcast

**Title:** Design and development of an iOS content sharing app based on Hopcast SDK

**Profile:** Master 2 or engineering school

**Location:** Hybrid

**Dates:** 5/6 months from fall 2025 to spring 2026

**Compensation:** Up to €1,000/month depending on profile

## Internship topic

### Context

Hopcast develops an innovative content distribution technology that reduces the carbon footprint and costs of mobile internet. Our solution enables mobile devices to exchange content via direct communications (D2D - device-to-device) using Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth, without intermediate infrastructure.

The key innovation lies in our patented orchestration technology that solves the matchmaking problem: determining when two devices are nearby and whether they have content to exchange. This approach separates control and data planes for much higher efficiency than fully decentralized solutions.

### Internship's specific topics

Distributing video, audio, and image to end users consumes a lot of energy and communication resources. The technology developed by Hopcast, and provided in the form of an SDK, overcomes these drawbacks by making the distribution of digital content more responsible, using the short circuits of the Internet.

The purpose of this internship is to design and implement a mobile iOS application based on Hopcast SDK. The societal impact of such an application is potentially enormous. The intern will work closely with the architects and developers of the Hopcast system. The challenges that she/he will face are:

- Understand the Hopcast system and its operation.

- Design an iOS application based on this system and relying on the Hopcast SDK.

- Evaluate the performance of the application and help improve its operational parameters.

- Make the application available to users on App Store.

- Analyze feedback from users and propose strategic actions.

The intern should, above all, have good knowledge of mobile development in general and Swift in particular. She/he also needs to be comfortable in English speaking and writing.
