Our client is a leading Dubai-based Web3 hedge fund specializing in crypto investments and DeFi strategies. Their team brings together expertise from finance, banking, economics, and law - providing a solid foundation for making informed, strategic decisions in the digital asset space.

Role Requirement

They are seeking a Crypto Quantitative Software Developer to help design, build, and optimize advanced systems for on-chain trading and yield generation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on working close to the data - designing, testing, and automating strategies across DeFi and exchange ecosystems. You’ll contribute to high-performance execution pipelines, simulation frameworks, and automation tools that power live trading strategies at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust, low-latency pipelines for connecting to major centralized exchanges and decentralized exchanges using REST, WebSocket, or FIX protocols.
  • Capture, stream, and store on-chain and market data (order books, swaps, funding rates, mempool activity) to support analytics and trading signal generation.
  • Design systems that simulate crypto-specific behaviors, including AMM slippage, perpetual funding mechanisms, and liquidation events, for accurate strategy evaluation.
  • Build intelligent order routing and venue selection systems, along with tools to benchmark execution performance and optimize trading costs.
  • Implement, monitor, and scale production services using AWS technologies such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.
  • Build and manage systems for executing cross-chain and cross-protocol yield farming, dynamically adjusting positions based on APR shifts, token rewards, and on-chain signals.
  • Design mechanisms for gas efficiency, MEV-conscious transaction handling, and smart contract anomaly monitoring to safeguard assets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year working with blockchain systems, with strong knowledge of on-chain data structures, mempool behavior, and transaction fee dynamics.
  • Advanced Python skills, solid experience with Solidity, and proficiency in at least one additional systems programming language.
  • Proven ability to connect with exchange APIs (REST, WebSocket, FIX) and interact with smart contracts through RPC calls.
  • Practical understanding of automated market makers, liquidity pool tokens, funding mechanisms, liquidation processes, and cross-chain bridge operations.
  • Experienced in developing and running backtesting frameworks and automation pipelines using tools like Hardhat, Foundry, or Brownie.
  • Knowledge of MEV strategies, transaction fee optimization, multisignature wallets, and managing RPC throughput.
  • Proficient in English, with reading and writing abilities at B2 level or higher.
  • Comfortable with remote work and open to part-time engagement initially.

Advantageous

  • Conduct thorough audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure robust, secure contract design.
  • Design and implement sophisticated smart contracts for automated yield generation.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a world-class team.

Salary: Highly competitive, in line with experience and market standards.
