💼 Senior Software Engineer (Java / Spring)

📍 Dublin (Hybrid) | 💰 €525 per day | ⏳ 12-Month Contract

We’re looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a talented team helping major financial institutions fight money laundering and fraud through advanced data-driven platforms.

This is a hands-on backend role focused on building and optimizing high-performance, cloud-native applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Design and develop scalable backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
• Build microservices in cloud environments (PCF / AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Implement and secure REST APIs, ensuring reliability and observability
• Work with SQL & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Snowflake)
• Integrate Kafka / RabbitMQ for event-driven solutions
• Deploy with Docker / Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and IaC tools
• Collaborate in an Agile / BDD setup alongside Product, Architecture, and QA teams
• Mentor peers and contribute to continuous engineering excellence

🧠 What You Bring

• Proven experience delivering large-scale backend systems
• Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Security
• Solid experience with API design, microservices, and database performance
• Familiar with cloud deployment, security, and automation pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset

✨ Nice to have: Experience with Apache NiFi or event modeling patterns
