Noel Group is working with a leader in precision plastic components and automated manufacturing systems, providing cutting-edge solutions for industries ranging from automotive to electronics. Based in Limerick, they specialise in the design, manufacture, and integration of advanced plastic systems with custom control and automation solutions. The client are growing their in-house engineering team and are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join them on-site in Limerick.
Role Overview:
As a Software Engineer you will play a key role in the development of industrial control systems, custom firmware, and automation software. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and deploy robust software and hardware systems, tailored for high-performance manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development
·Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in VB.NET and C#
·Develop and maintain SQL scripts and manage MSSQL databases
·Create and maintain communication software using socket programming
Hardware Integration
·Help to Design Microcontroller-based industrial control PCBs from the ground up
·Incorporate hardware for:
oOptically coupled inputs
oHigh-side/MOSFET output driver stages
oSupport for industrial communication protocols and interfaces including:
§Ethernet
§RS232C
