The Global Product Manager, OZONE, is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the ozone-based product line for water treatment, from concept through the entire product lifecycle. The goal is to optimize profitability while meeting customer needs and supporting corporate growth objectives. This role coordinates the development of marketing, sales, R&D, engineering, and financial plans for the OZONE product line, and actively participates in strategies for market entry and expansion, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and environmental impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide technical information on the applications, benefits, and limitations of ozone technology, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Manage all marketing and product development activities related to the OZONE line, monitoring market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Develop and implement product, pricing, branding, and promotional strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Lead new product development and portfolio rationalization projects, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
- Support the sales team in key negotiations, providing technical training and support materials.
- Analyze the effectiveness of product launches and promotional initiatives, proposing corrective actions to maximize results and market penetration.
- Identify and communicate the “voice of the customer” and critical requirements for the success of ozone technology in various markets.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best safety practices in the use of ozone.
Assists in the creation of product briefs (product marketing plan/financial justifications).
Acts as a liaison between sales and marketing and engineering to assist in the creation of product technical specifications. Provides input from all departments to the engineering design team; coordinates design reviews meetings such that new product introductions meet sales objectives.
Lead individual projects for new product development and product rationalization initiatives.
Implements product launches, sales support and product promotions.
Support sales personnel with customers in key sales situations, providing technical support when necessary.
Maintains technical content of respective sales support and training materials.
Identify and communicate voice of the customer and critical customer requirements to the business.
Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job function.
Available to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Highly confident and able to meet rigorous deadlines and goals
- This position requires strong analytical skills, a sense of market trends, as well as an entrepreneurial approach to business
- Adept ability in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- 5-15 years working experience in the UV/AOP industry specifically in water treatment
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and calendar
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical field plus 5 years working experience as a Product Manager in the water industry.
Experience in the Municipal, Energy or Industrial markets are a plus.
