In order to strengthen our Risk Management Team in Luxembourg, Lombard Odier Funds (Europe) S.A. (“LOFE”) is looking for a


Junior Risk Analyst


You will join a global business of more than 400 investment professionals and a network of 13 offices across Europe, Asia and North America. You will report to the Deputy Head of Risk of Lombard Odier Funds Europe (LOFE) and support the Risk function by managing and analyzing data across platforms such as Bloomberg PORT, while ensuring data quality, developing risk analytics, and enhancing automation in risk management.


To support risk activities, you will focus on sourcing and automating Risk & Performance data, including dashboards and senior management (regulatory) reporting. The role also contributes to maintaining and enhancing risk management systems, offering exposure to both Risk Analysis and Risk Management. Strong programming skills and proficiency in data visualization tools are required.


YOUR ROLE


Sourcing and automation of Risk & Performance Data

  • Identify and source data related to Funds’ investment risks, operational risks, sustainability risks and performance from our IT and Data environment
  • Develop and automate the generation of risk and performance analysis as well as regulatory reporting (UCITS, AIFMD, Money Market Funds, FINMA etc.) in Luxembourg and Switzerland for liquid and illiquid funds (Private Assets, Private Debts, Hedge funds etc.) using internal tools and systems (in particular SQL/Alteryx, Bloomberg)
  • Graphically display risk exposures in reports using various internal tools (i.e, Tableau)
  • Help drive the migration of existing processes to automated processes and platforms in line with the team vision to increasingly leverage Artificial Intelligence.


Connecting Risk with Data Management

  • Support the communication between the Risk team (Luxembourg) and LOIM Data Management team (Geneva) through regular exchange and periodic travels between Luxembourg and Geneva
  • Engage with wider LOIM and LO Group Risk Management, ESG Solutions, Support and Operational teams to ensure timely, accurate, consistent, and complete data sets
  • Respond and prioritise ad-hoc requests for information as they arise
  • Challenge existing processes and data feeds with the wider LOIM-IT and data community



YOUR PROFILE


You hold a Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Data Science or Statistics and demonstrate following competencies:

  • Awareness of risk and financial calculation concepts such as VaR (domain knowledge of investment and securities)
  • Experience in automating report generation and data analysis of large-scale, distributed data sets
  • Strong skills in ETL systems (ideally Alteryx) and visualisation tools (ideally Tableau)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced development skills in SQL
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
  • Autonomous and self-motivated, you pay strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and results-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Enrollment in the CFA, CAIA, or FRM certificates programs a plus.
