System QA Lead

📍 Ljubljana–Črnuče | Full-time | Hybrid (at least 3 days per week in the office)

We are looking for a System QA Lead to build, lead, and scale Luxonis’ quality assurance efforts across both hardware and software systems. This role combines technical expertise in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, end-to-end (E2E) validation, and CI/CD automation with strong organizational and leadership skills. You will drive the QA strategy for internal and external projects, ensuring every release meets our high standards for reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in QA, systems testing, or release engineering, ideally in environments involving hardware + software integration.
• Strong understanding of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups and CI/CD integration.
• Proficiency in Python (for automation and test development), familiarity with C++ preferred.
• Experience with hardware test rigs, embedded systems, or computer vision pipelines is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of building and maintaining testing systems from the ground up.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate across multiple teams and ensure QA goals are met.
• Self-starter mindset, proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions before they impact release quality.
• At least 3 days per week in the office in Ljubljana–Crnuce

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA process across multiple projects, ensuring quality at every hand-off.
• Design and implement E2E testing methodologies to validate full-system performance, integrating both hardware and software components.
• Develop regression testing pipelines to ensure system stability and catch regressions early in the development cycle.
• Identify testing gaps across teams and collaborate cross-functionally to close them with proper tooling, automation, or processes.
• Oversee and maintain HIL racks, ensuring availability, reliability, and integration with developer workflows and CI systems.
• Manage and mentor a small QA/HIL engineering team, defining priorities, maintaining test infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to define clear QA standards, acceptance criteria, and release quality gates.
• Own QA documentation, including test plans, results, and system readiness reports.
• Drive consistency and accountability in QA practices across projects, enforcing organization-wide quality principles.
