Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with a portfolio of retail clients
  • Drive ongoing and proactive collaboration with retailers, including negotiations and partnership expansion
  • Understand client business needs and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Take ownership of business planning and execution
  • Manage the business plan: financial targets, proposal submissions, revenue tracking, and pipeline development
  • Identify client needs and match them with the most suitable NielsenIQ solutions – working closely with internal teams and owning sales targets for retail-specific solutions
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to develop recommendations and deliver impactful insights
  • Present high-quality insights and strategic recommendations that influence client decisions
  • Represent NielsenIQ externally at client meetings, industry events, and conferences

About You

You’re looking for a role that allows you to grow your sales and communication skills in an international environment. You’re open-minded, curious, and eager to learn. Whether your background is in sales, consulting, analytics, or retail, you’re ready to take the next step in your career and make a difference.

Previous experience working with a retailer – whether in FMCG, pharma, beauty, IT&C, etc – is highly appreciated. You understand the dynamics of the retail environment and are motivated to bring value through data-driven insights and strategic collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders across departments and organizational levels
  • Consultative sales mindset with a focus on building long-term relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and business networking abilities
  • Willingness to work with demanding external clients
  • Problem-solving mindset and solution-oriented approach
  • Experience in at least one retail-related sector such as FMCG, pharma, beauty, or IT&C – familiarity with key trends in any of these areas is appreciated
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Fluency in English and Romanian is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, or other business intelligence and CRM tools is a plus
