Position Purpose:
Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of client information technology infrastructure and applications organization-wide in support of Client strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the function’s strategic objectives and plans in alignment with client corporate-wide strategy, vision and mission
- Oversee the implementation and achievement of the function’s strategic objectives and goals
- Direct the development, allocation and utilization of the function’s budget and exercise expenditure controls where applicable
- Review all periodic function performance reports and provide recommendations and guidance where applicable to enhance the function’s performance
- Monitor key performance indicators of the function’s operations and employees and recommend enhancements in line with client corporate-wide strategic objectives
- Responsible for shaping the function’s workforce by identifying the required employee availability and capability to fulfill the function’s strategic objectives and plans
- Provide professional development support through the provision of effective feedback and appraisal of the function’s employees performance
- Champion efforts in collaboration, innovation, design thinking, and enhancement of existing operations across the function.
- Identify and address the required technology needs for the function utilizing the best solutions to ensure efficient performance in a cost-efficient manner.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee implementation of the information technology framework, its policies and requirements for all technology related issues for client.
- Define client information technology strategy, policies and procedures and ensure their implementation.
- Collaborate with concerned stakeholders to understand business requirements of client various functions to determine technology needs, services roadmap and annual operations plan
- Lead the development and implementation of Information Technology security approaches and plans as well as disaster readiness and recovery plans
- Lead the development, operation and maintenance of reliable information technology infrastructure to meet business needs
- Manage the identification of the information technology support requirements for client (including software and hardware acquisitions) in coordination with the relevant stakeholders
- Manage all aspects of developing and implementing information technology support standards and policies within client
- Provide subject matter expertise to the senior management on all strategic decisions involving information technology support
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the line manager
Organizational Responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment and adherence with EF governance framework, policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance to client risk management and organizational excellence guidelines
- Prepare required reports as per the job reporting requirements internally within client and externally where applicable.
- Drive and oversee change management initiatives within the function
- Maintain awareness of current technological requirements to carry out the job responsibilities
- Deliberate and push the adoption of innovative ideas and solutions to overcome challenges and enhance activities based on functional requirements
- Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve capabilities and technical skills related to the function’s requirements
- Adhere to the occupational safety and health policies and regulations issued by Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHAD) and EF EHS policies and guidelines
Job Requirements:
Master’s or bachelor's degree or higher diploma in IT management, IT engineering, computer science or any other related field.
