About The Job
We are seeking a dynamic Application Engineer with a commercial mindset to support our sales growth in Scandinavia and EMEA by combining deep robotics expertise with basic sales skills. This role, reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager, serves as the technical bridge between our cutting-edge robotic technology, channel partners, and prospective customers, translating complex technical capabilities into compelling business value. The ideal candidate will lead technical activities in coordination with the sales team, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate with channel partners and customers to define and facilitate automation solutions.
The position is based in our Trondheim office, or alternatively hybrid in Sweden or Denmark.
Responsibilities
- Support the Technical Sales Cycle: Conduct product demonstrations, assess technical needs, and serve as the primary technical advisor through deal closure.
- Define Solutions: Work with partners and customers to define robotic automation solutions, develop technical proposals, system specifications, and ROI analyses.
- Serve as Internal Technical Liaison: Coordinate with operations and R&D to ensure proposed solutions are feasible; provide structured market feedback to influence the product roadmap.
- Build & Maintain Relationships: Establish strong relationships with key technical stakeholders within partner and customer organizations.
- Drive Technical Evangelism: Represent T-robotics at trade shows and industry events; support marketing with technical content and case studies.
- Ensure Customer Success: Oversee the technical project development phase and conduct post-sales follow-up to support satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in applications engineering or a similar customer-facing role within industrial automation or robotics.
- Strong communicator capable of explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to assess production processes on-site and provide clear verbal and written recommendations.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience with machine tools and automated machine tending.
- Industry certifications in robotics, automation, or technical sales.
- Experience in verticals such as automotive, food & beverage, or logistics.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
- Multilingual capabilities.
- Experience working with channel partners.
- Travel required for customer visits, trade shows, and partner support.
- Ability to work in industrial environments for demonstrations and assessments.
- Ideally based in Trondheim, or hybrid in Sweden or Denmark.
