Monthly salary: $4,000 - $5,000 USD


Along with our partner, we are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of their web applications. You will play a key role in shaping the architecture of the frontend, mentoring team members, and driving technical excellence. Their stack includes React, AWS Amplify, and serverless backends with Lambda and PostgreSQL.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you will write code, guide others, enforce best practices, and ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontends.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead frontend architecture decisions and define patterns for React applications.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize complex web applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior/mid-level engineers, providing code reviews and feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Implement robust client-side integrations with APIs (REST/GraphQL), AWS Amplify, and Cognito.
  • Develop reusable, scalable, and modular component libraries.
  • Ensure high performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
  • Establish and enforce frontend best practices, coding standards, and testing strategies.
  • Participate in deployment planning, release management, and post-release monitoring.
  • Drive improvements in observability, error tracking, and user analytics.
  • Identify technical debt and lead initiatives to reduce it.
  • Lead design discussions for UX/UI consistency, performance optimizations, and frontend security.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development with React.
  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS Amplify, Cognito, and serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway).
  • Strong understanding of client-server interactions and integrating with backend APIs.
  • Proven experience in leading projects or mentoring engineers.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) and test-driven development.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with complex state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, or similar).
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or backend workflows for frontend integration.
  • Experience designing or maintaining design systems or UI component libraries.
  • Knowledge of web performance profiling, accessibility standards, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics and instrumentation (Segment, GA, Sentry, DataDog).
  • Experience in serverless observability tools (X-Ray, CloudWatch, etc.).
