About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build distributed backend systems running in Kubernetes across major cloud providers. You’ll focus on scalability, performance, and system reliability while working closely with leadership to define architecture and technical strategy.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-scale engineering challenges with a small, senior team that values autonomy, collaboration, and craftsmanship.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-native backend services in Golang using a microservices architecture.
- Solve distributed systems challenges such as indexing, retrieval, and large-scale data management.
- Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Integrate with enterprise systems and security protocols, including SSO/IdP providers.
- Lead architecture and design for new product features.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and design to deliver high-impact solutions.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Golang and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and scalable system design.
- Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, networking, concurrency).
- Excellent communication skills and curiosity to solve complex problems.
Nice to Have
- Experience in enterprise SaaS or large-scale distributed systems.
- Exposure to AI, ML, or search technologies.
- Familiarity with infrastructure or SRE practices.
