At GTS Innovation team - we work on a diverse set of consumer problems and build sustainable solutions to provide meaningful outcomes for GTS and for Grabbers. Our focus is on creating specialised AI-driven products and tools that address specific business needs across Corporate teams at Grab.

Get to Know the Role

As an Intern, Software Engineer (GTS Innovation), you will use technology to solve well-defined problems by building individual components or features based on clear tasks and project requirements.

We are looking for a passionate developer intern who will collaborate with product, business, and programme management teams to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of your work. You will take ownership of your code by ensuring it is reliable, maintainable, and well-tested, while communicating your designs and decisions to technical partners.

Your internship runs from Jan to May 2026, Full-time; you must be a matriculated students to an institution.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You take ownership of your code by ensuring it's readable, maintainable, and well-tested, while applying Operational Excellence (OE) standards through design reviews and monitoring.
  • You understand and apply the appropriate data structures and algorithms to your projects.
  • You provide clear, applicable feedback during code reviews and respond constructively to feedback from others.
  • You respond promptly to issues and keep the team updated throughout the process.
  • You complete tasks promptly and with high quality, articulating your solutions to technical partners through clear and concise communication.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You are currently pursuing your undergraduate or postgraduate in the fields of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, CyberSecurity or any relevant fields of study.
  • You can write clean, functionally correct, modular, readable, and maintainable code in modern programming languages such as Golang, Java, Scala, Python, Ruby, PHP, Node.js, or C#.
  • You have a solid grasp of clean architecture principles, allowing you to design scalable and efficient systems.
  • You are familiar with common data structures and algorithms, and can apply them to solve technical challenges.
  • You have a basic understanding of security concepts and practices to ensure secure software solutions.
