About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to help stand up robust agent and team-level reporting for the Crash and Claims team. This role sits within the Global Field Analytics team and will be a key player in shaping the future of reporting for this critical support work within Uber!

In this role, you will create agent- and team-level reports for the Crash and Claims team within the Insurance organization. This high-visibility team focuses on enhancing insurance claim intake, streamlining the end-to-end claimant journey, and improving the customer experience for everyone involved in a crash or insurance claim across the U.S. and Canada. As the primary point of contact for all Crash and Claims agent and team analytic needs, you will have significant ownership and visibility. You'll be responsible for establishing the single source of truth for this critical workstream.

The Global Field Analytics team handles reporting on team and agent level performance across Global COEs, Greenlights, and other customer-support focused organizations within Uber. The team is made up of regional teams across the globe that work together to support regional reporting needs while also trying to globalize/standardize the data products we support wherever possible.

What You'll Do

  • Perform deep-dive analysis to unpack insights and recommend solutions to business problems for the Crash and Claims team
  • Translate ambiguous questions into data-driven recommendations
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business performance and share strategic insights with senior leadership to influence decision-making
  • Become the data subject matter expert on agent and team performance for the Crash and Claims team,building deep domain expertise and establishing the source of truth reporting
  • Create and implement various analytics projects to inform strategy with company leadership, including the development of reports, dashboards, and scripts/automations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Crash and Claims Operations, Data Infrastructure and other internal reporting teams to build comprehensive, cross-functionally aligned reporting solutions
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data
  • Use Python for data transformation, automation, and model development
  • Identify, plan, and execute projects and root cause analyses to improve existing processes
  • Build dashboards and reporting, primarily in Tabaleau

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years of work experience in finance analytics, business analytics, data analytics, or within a similar field
  • Experience with Tableau and/or a similar data visualization tool
  • Experience with SQL
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL skills. - Editable to proficiency level tied to role level
  • High technical proficiency in common analytics & reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio, Google Sheets/Excel)
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience working with customer support or customer insights
  • Advanced data analysis skills leading to actionable recommendations
  • Experience in leading high-visibility projects and influencing others in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Curious, self-directed, and impact-driven-you chase high-impact problems to deliver solutions
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and switching contexts in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience in communicating with and presenting to senior leadership

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$102,000 per year - USD$113,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
