The Opportunity

As a Lead Developer at Protecht Group, you will be hands on and actively contributing to develop and support new and existing functionalities for our SaaS solution, the Enterprise Risk Management (Protecht.ERM) system, while leading a team, setting goals, mentoring, and ensuring successful project delivery.

In this key role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and team leadership, ensuring high-quality software development while fostering a collaborative and high performing team culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and inspire an agile engineering team, driving the development, testing, and maintenance of our ERM platform
• Champion technical excellence through code and architecture reviews, promoting best practices across the team
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define and deliver the technical roadmap
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, providing hands-on coding support when needed
• Drive the adoption of modern tools, technologies, and development practices to continuously improve team performance
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering growth in both technical skills and agile delivery
• Manage workload distribution and resolve team roadblocks.
• Set clear performance goals, and development plans to help your team reach their full potential
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience building commercial SaaS products using Java, Spring Framework, ReactJS, and PostgreSQL (or similar databases)
• Minimum 2+ years’ leadership experience managing agile software teams and delivering complex projects
• Proven expertise in system design, architecture, microservices development, and hands-on coding
• Strong experience with AWS services, REST API development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Skilled in client-facing solution delivery and developing integration solutions for enterprise systems
• Proficient with Git (Bitbucket preferred), and familiar with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace
• Experience designing or integrating AI-driven features using Spring AI, AWS Bedrock, or LLMs (desirable)
