The Role We’re partnering with them to find an Engineering Manager who’s passionate about people, delivery, and technology in equal measure. You’ll lead a cross-functional group of engineers and team leads, creating an environment where individuals can do their best work and continuously grow.
You’ll be responsible for aligning technical delivery with business goals, driving performance, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration across the team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineers while driving team performance and engagement.
- Partner with product and architecture teams to deliver scalable, reliable software.
- Promote a culture of engineering best practice and continuous improvement.
- Manage capacity, resourcing, and team structure to meet evolving business needs.
- Support hiring and onboarding of new engineers into a high-performing environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a product or platform environment.
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills — you know how to inspire and develop talent.
- Experience with high-transaction or distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of at least one database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and one messaging system (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS).
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Bonus: experience with Node.js and React.
- Pragmatic mindset, outcome-focused, and great communicator.
