Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Solutions Architect based in Jyväskylä. The role combines deep technical expertise with practical implementation, meaning you are responsible on designing complex IoT and Web solutions while also actively participating in building and deploying them. This involves not just conceptualizing architectures and technologies, but also coding, configuring systems, and reviewing deliveries from our partners, to deliver working solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. 

In this role you are part of our Technology team under Head of Technology working together with our other Solution Architects. To be successful in this role, you could have worked already in this kind of role, or you are ready to take the next step in your career towards this. 

Role Overview:

This is a senior developer role with architectural responsibilities. You will:

• Write, deploy, and maintain production-grade backend code
• Evaluate existing and emerging technologies, shape the architecture of distributed systems that prioritize consistency, resilience, and low-latency processing
• Solve for reliability and scalability in a real-world, high-integrity IoT environment
• Participate in operating and improving our systems in production
• Collaborate closely with teammates to make pragmatic, forward-looking decisions
• Work closely with stakeholders across product, infrastructure, and operations

Technology:

Currently we operate with a tech stack based on Java, JavaScript, and Postgre. We expect you to bring your professional expertise in modern and future technologies to guide the development of our 4^th generation Smart lighting solutions including Artificial Intelligence.

Technical Prowess: 

A strong foundation and hands-on approach in software development, cloud platforms (like AWS), databases, system integrations, and DevOps are essential. We expect you to ensure that theoretical designs are not only feasible but also robust and effectively implemented.

Problem-Solving: 

You are adept at identifying complex technical challenges and developing practical, out-of-the-box solutions. 

Broad Skillset: 

In this role you extend your expertise also in DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. 

Customer Focus: 

You collaborate with our internal and external teams to define user stories, design systems, and ensure the delivered solution meets business requirements.
