I have a new role with a client of mine based in Louth. This role would be a fully onsite role, and a 6 month fixed term contract with a chance of extension.

Role Overview

The role involves managing high-priority workflows, coordinating across departments, and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports the full lifecycle of data from initial project planning to final delivery.

The successful candidate will operate independently in a fast-paced environment, balancing urgent requests, leading a team, managing data pipelines, deploying cloud-based solutions, and upholding data standards across systems. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, involving Python, Power BI, AWS, Azure, and cross-functional collaboration.

Skills Required

• 10+ years in a senior technical, analytics engineering, or data platform role
• Proficient in Python, SQL, PowerShell, and Power Query
• Experienced in Power BI, including complex measures, dynamic slicers, and time-based analysis
• Strong working knowledge of AWS and Azure & their services

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve data pipelines integrating SharePoint (Excel), Azure SQL, AWS S3, and internal systems
• Develop automation using Power Automate, PowerShell, and Python for file handling, syncing, and logging
• Create advanced Power BI dashboards using DAX, measures, and direct query models to support live operations and forecasting
• Manage versioning, syncing, and validation logic for live and historical datasets, addressing schema and duplication issues
• Enhance data availability, reliability, and scheduling logic for reporting and visualization
• Oversee integrations across AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, and SQL environments
• Troubleshoot sync failures, permission issues, and log discrepancies across file-based and cloud-based systems
