System Engineer

Hamilton Barnes is currently supporting a leading enterprise in Luxembourg City seeking to onboard an experienced System Engineer for an initial 12-month contract.

Responsibilities:

Design, maintain, and optimise Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) across a complex environment.

Manage and administer Windows Server platforms, ensuring system stability and performance.

Provide 2nd/3rd line infrastructure support and troubleshoot system-related issues.

Contribute to the implementation of security and compliance policies within the Windows environment.

Support and maintain elements of Citrix infrastructure where required.

Collaborate with internal IT teams to enhance system availability and performance.

Document infrastructure changes and support internal audits as needed.

Skills / Must Have:

Proven experience in Active Directory design, configuration, and GPO management.

Strong Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration skills.

Good understanding of Citrix environments (maintenance and support level).

Experience in large, enterprise-level infrastructure environments — ideally financial or regulated sectors.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Fluency in English and French
