Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced API Azure DevOps Engineer specializing in FastAPI to design, build, and deploy RESTful APIs on the Azure Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Python, Azure DevOps, Dockerization, Terraform, and CICD pipelines, coupled with a deep understanding of Azure networking and security concepts. The role also involves managing the full API lifecycle — from design to deployment and deprecation — while ensuring high performance, reliability, and security in production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and deploy RESTful APIs on Azure using ACR, ACA Function App, and Docker.
2. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for API deployment and automation using Azure DevOps and Terraform.
3. Apply a deep understanding of Azure networking (private endpoints, DNS zones) and network security concepts.
4. Write high-quality, scalable, and efficient code in Python (FastAPI Framework).
5. Work with relational databases for data management and integration.
6. Ensure API security best practices are followed across environments.
7. Use monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk to track performance and system health.
8. Manage the API lifecycle — including design, build, deployment, maintenance, and deprecation.
9. Collaborate closely with DevOps, security, and architecture teams to ensure reliable and compliant deployments.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience building and deploying RESTful APIs on Azure using ACR, ACA Function Apps, and Docker.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking concepts – private endpoints, DNS zones, and network security.
• Strong programming experience in Python (FastAPI Framework) and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Expertise in API security best practices and compliance for production systems.
• Experience with Splunk or similar monitoring/observability tools.
• Strong understanding of API lifecycle management (design → build → deploy → deprecate)
