The Role

As a CyberSecurity Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in establishing and managing a small Security Operations Center (SOC) based on the Microsoft Security application stack. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security tools, monitoring threats, and responding to incidents to strengthen the organization’s security posture. This position reports directly to the Head of IT Security & Compliance and involves close collaboration with IT Operations and Support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the SOC using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoints, Defender for Cloud, and Defender for Identities.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures.
• Create and maintain security policies and documentation.
• Provide training on security best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Experience in IT operations, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem and Azure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Security tools.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or English (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Quality-focused and collaborative mindset.
