The Network Engineer Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in network engineering, a strong background in network security, compliance in regulated environments, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

The primary focus of this role is on ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of network systems.
The Network Engineer Lead is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructures. This role requires a breadth of network engineering expertise, specifically in enterprise-scale network deployment and transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in network engineering, a strong background in network security, compliance in regulated environments, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role is on ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of network systems.
- Lead the design and implementation of strategic network initiatives.
- Oversee network architecture, upgrades, and optimization projects.
- Serve as the escalation point for critical network issues.
- Ensure timely resolution of network incidents.
- Foster collaboration within a team of network engineers.
- 5+ years of network engineering experience.
- Expertise in enterprise-scale network design and deployment.
- Proven ability to lead network transformation or migration projects.
- Manage network security and compliance in regulated environments.
- Experienced in multi-vendor and hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficient with a variety of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
- Familiar with Cisco hardware (routers/switches, firewalls).
- Knowledge in VPNs, DMZ, IDS/IPS, SSL/TLS, Zero Trust Architecture.
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS).
- Proficient in network monitoring tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds).
- Automation & scripting skills (Python, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell).
- Relevant certifications: CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, ITIL, CompTIA Network+/Security+.
- Experience in managing teams of engineers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Project management expertise to lead timelines and collaborate with stakeholders.
