The EU Digital Data Analyst is a key role in the business to help understand overall online engagement of our customers. They will be working closely with the EU team to understand requirements and the level of reporting required. They will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve all EU digital products and enhance the performance of the business. The EU business is growing rapidly and is a dynamic & exciting team to work with.


Typical focus areas for the role:


  • Working closely with the EU UX designer to inform design decisions for future products as well as benchmarking any new changes and monitoring performance
  • Proactive insight for EU management team into online performance and recommendations for how to improve
  • Marketing campaign analysis to optimise marketing spend and ROI
  • Understanding how digital engagement can also help offline engagement
  • Segmentation of data to provide a more in depth insight of user’s behaviour


Role Accountabilities:


  • Support the analytic needs of BCA EU by analysing web traffic across the various digital platforms
  • Work closely with the Product team to identify and design proper digital tracking for new product releases and/or product new features, ensuring a robust analysis on the BCA product performance
  • Work closely and in alignment with the EU Analysts to achieve an online and offline analysis of the buyers’ activity
  • Work with reporting team to help design simple to understand reporting dashboards to enable effective business usage of analytical outputs
  • Work with the data integration team to ensure that digital data is incorporated effectively into the group DWH
  • Ongoing analysis of digital behaviour and customer experience alongside the UX team using tools such as Usabilla
  • Proactive identification of new opportunities to leverage data for business advantage
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in the use and gathering of web data and responsibility for training other resources as required
  • Support the drive towards data definition standardisation and higher organisational data quality & consistency
  • Work closely with marketing teams to understand how we can accurately report on campaign effectiveness and recommendations


Skills and Expertise Required:


  • At least three years of working with standard digital analytics tools e.g. Adobe Analytics, WebTrends, Google Analytics/Premium
  • Experience in digital analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research
  • Experience with SQL in extracting data from source systems
  • Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
  • Uses sound judgment to identify issues and escalates when appropriate
  • Contribute to improvements in processes (technical or business) used by analysts
  • Ability to identify key needs or gaps
  • Handles multiple tasks, switches priorities and focuses as needed
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
  • Understands the complex web ecosystems and best practices and applies this knowledge to their work
  • Displays strong analytical skills and provides insights as well as recommendations for changes
  • High degree of pro-activeness in analysing customer behaviour using available data to influence changes on the website
  • Advanced use of Excel and PowerPoint to report data to stakeholders
