At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to elevate the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost.
Our Vision:
We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future.
The Role:
As an AI Delivery Engineer you are the bridge that connects deployment and development. You will be building, deploying and monitoring applications that will be powering our robot cells 24/7, based on our internal stack. Your work will directly result in deployed robot cells at the customer site and your experience and feedback will shape the future of our stack.
Your role is remote but it does require frequent travel to the HQ office, to work on the actual hardware, and potential visits to customer sites.
What You'll Do:
- Implement end-to-end AI applications and deploy them to production on real-world and simulated robotic systems.
- Monitor, diagnose, and address issues in deployed AI applications (Docker, edge devices, etc.).
- Set up logging, observability, and alerting systems to track application health and behavior.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate and deliver solutions.
- Generate and curate data to improve our models and applications.
- Set-up and maintain perception hardware.
- Own technical delivery from application design, to deployment and iterative improvement.
- Re-train, perform A/B testing, and re-deploy algorithms in production.
- Offer expert support to our FDE team when issues arise.
- A skilled and experienced computer vision or machine learning engineer who has a professional background in 2D/3D Computer Vision and 2D/3D Deep Learning.
- A professional software engineer who has implemented solutions for production grade systems for 2+ years.
- You have extensive experience with Python.
- You are familiar with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Tensorflow, computer vision frameworks such as OpenCV.
- You are familiar with model optimization, model conversion, model deployment for edge device compute.
- You have experience with imaging hardware, such as industrial cameras, 3D cameras and stereo systems.
- You have experience using MLOps systems - experiment tracking, data versioning and model serving on platforms such as MLFlow, W&B, CometML, ClearML.
- You have a product oriented mentality.
- You have the ability to break down complex problems into small sub problems and build efficient hierarchical solutions.
- You have the capacity to work with multidisciplinary and international teams and are an excellent communicator who can articulate problems and their solutions in a clear, compelling manner.
- You are passionate about robotics, automation, and the transformative potential of intelligent systems.
- You have experience with synthetic data generation, domain transfer and an ability to design smart and optimized data collection strategies.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS / GCE.
- Experience with NVIDIA edge devices and their robotics stack.
- Experience with ABB robots and their software suite.
- Play a pivotal role in defining the future of intelligent robotics and manufacturing.
- Be part of a company that is at the forefront of technological innovation, with a clear mission and vision.
- Competitive compensation, including equity, and a flexible work environment that values innovation, learning, and excellence.
