Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Analytics & Data Science Consultant to play a pivotal role in our growing EMAP Data Science team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled professional passionate about advanced analytics, innovation, and delivering impactful solutions to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to lead advanced research and development initiatives, strengthen client relationships, acquire strategic datasets, and deliver innovative solutions through product prototyping. You will focus on:

  • Evaluating and acquiring new data assets
  • Developing new product prototypes
  • Providing sales support and consultancy
  • Analyze, process, and document large datasets
  • Apply machine learning, data mining, and text mining techniques to extract value from data
  • Validate model and score performance
  • Document and present modeling processes and outcomes
  • Design analytical solutions for internal and external clients to address business problems
  • Make independent decisions to develop new approaches and resolve uncertainty in complex scenarios
  • Establish best practices for leveraging Experian and client data to generate insights
  • Define business assumptions for relevant solutions
  • Create state-of-the-art materials for knowledge sharing and roundtable discussions
  • Lead initiatives to enhance client analytical solutions, data quality, model performance, and project timelines
  • Drive team efforts to identify optimal solutions
  • Share expertise and continuously improve departmental contributions
  • Provide mentoring within project teams
  • Advocate for analytics through publications and presentations
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Deep understanding of data structures and their applications in marketing, risk, and customer management
  • Familiarity with regression models, XGBoost, neural networks, SVM, and ensemble methods
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to monitor market trends and industry developments
  • Proven track record of working independently with a pragmatic approach while being an effective team player
  • Strong communication skills for technical reporting and presentations
  • Experience in defining scope and delivering customized analytics projects
  • Expertise in applying advanced algorithms to solve practical business problems
