Data Scientist

Nexeo is currently looking for a Data Scientist for one of the leading banks in Belgium.

As a Data Scientist at Nexeo, your responsibilities will include:

• Data Strategy and Management: Define the mission, objectives, and strategy for your stream, such as Data Governance, Quality, Modelling, and Regulation frameworks.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of data governance experts and data quality analysts to achieve strategic goals.
• Policy Development: Establish and ensure adherence to enterprise data policies, standards, and practices to ensure data quality, integrity, protection, and compliance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Business and Functional area leadership to enhance the quality and value of core data assets, and manage organization-wide data governance and quality activities.
• Escalation Management: Serve as a key point of escalation for governance, quality, integrity, protection, and compliance issues.
• Process Improvement: Propose and implement improvements to existing data processes.

What are we expecting?

• Language Skills: Native Dutch/French with fluency in English.
• Educational Background: Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, or engineering (a PhD is an advantage).
• Team player with a proactive attitude
• Strong communication and influencing abilities
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in: Enterprise Data Modelling ,Data Regulatory Affairs ,Data Governance tools Or Data Quality
