About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Android Technical Lead to own the technical direction and architecture of a large-scale mobile SDK platform. The role involves guiding engineering best practices, leading product delivery for global clients, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive excellence across the Android ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of Android SDKs and mobile application components.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and Data teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to Android engineers, driving code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Ensure high performance and reliability across Android products by optimizing startup time, memory, battery, and crash rates.
• Oversee the full software lifecycle — from technical design, implementation, code review, testing, and deployment.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management processes.
• Stay current with Android platform changes, SDK updates, and ecosystem trends to guide technical decisions.
• Promote engineering excellence through documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Android development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or architect role.
• Expert in Kotlin and Java, with deep understanding of Android SDK, frameworks, and system internals.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering SDKs or complex Android frameworks (experience in ad tech or monetization platforms is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of modern Android architecture (MVVM, MVI, modularization, dependency injection with Dagger/Hilt).
• Experience with CI/CD, code quality enforcement, and automated testing frameworks.
• Skilled in performance optimization using profiling and debugging tools (ADB, Profiler, Systrace, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence across teams.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid or cross-platform frameworks (KMM, Flutter, React Native).
• Previous exposure to SDK integrations across large user bases or third-party partnerships.
• Familiarity with distributed team collaboration in APAC or global settings.

You will lead a talented team of engineers, set technical standards, and work with cross-functional partners to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability across global deployments.

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of iOS SDKs and mobile components.
• Partner with Product and Backend teams to define scalable solutions aligned with product goals.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code review support for the iOS engineering team.
• Drive continuous improvement in performance, reliability, and user experience across iOS products.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and release processes.
• Monitor iOS ecosystem changes (SDK versions, OS updates, App Store policies) to ensure compliance and innovation.
• Champion modern iOS development practices — Swift, Combine, SwiftUI, modular frameworks, and dependency management.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture focused on product impact.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of architecture patterns (MVVM, Coordinator, Reactive/RxSwift), modularization, and dependency injection.
• Hands-on experience with performance profiling, memory optimization, and CI/CD workflows (Instruments, Xcode Profiler, TestFlight).
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align technical direction across global teams.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mobile advertising, gaming, or monetization SDKs.
• Familiarity with SwiftUI, Catalyst, or Metal rendering pipelines.
• Experience leading distributed teams or cross-regional technical projects.
