UX/UI Designer

This role focuses on designing a seamless and visually engaging Shopify store for a food retail business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both the user experience and user interface, ensuring the online store is intuitive, attractive, and optimized for conversions. The project is remote and offers the opportunity to shape the digital presence of a growing company, with the potential for future collaboration on additional projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement UX and UI designs for a new Shopify store, tailored to the food retail sector
Conduct user research and analyze customer journeys to inform design decisions
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for desktop and mobile experiences
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into effective design solutions
Ensure the store design aligns with brand identity and enhances the overall customer experience
Optimize site navigation, product pages, and checkout flow for usability and conversion
Test and iterate on designs based on feedback and analytics
Stay updated on Shopify platform capabilities and e-commerce design best practices

Skills And Requirements

Proven experience designing UX and UI for Shopify stores, preferably in e-commerce or food retail
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design and visual aesthetics
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
Solid understanding of Shopify’s theme structure, customization, and app integrations
Ability to conduct user research and usability testing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
Experience working remotely with companies or clients
Availability for a single project with potential for future work
