Full Stack Engineer – API / Web Portal Development

Our client is a leader in professional services and consulting, providing a wide range of services including strategy, consulting, technology and systems integration, and operations to a range of clients across Government, Financial Services, Utilities and more.
About the role:
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer / API Developer to be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web applications.
With strong experience in API development, cloud infrastructure, and modern front-end frameworks. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components, deploying containerised applications, and ensuring accessibility and performance across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build complex APIs using Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript with REST and GraphQL.
- Develop accessible web applications using React and TypeScript (WCAG 2.1 compliance).
- Deploy containerised applications using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Write Infrastructure as Code using Terraform on AWS.
- Create CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests; collaborate with QA teams.
- Manage Postgres and MySQL database deployment and administration.
- Contribute across the SDLC: design, development, code reviews, and maintenance.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship.
- Baseline or NV-1 Government Security Clearance.
What’s on offer?
This is a contract role based in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, or Adelaide, commencing in early 2026. You’ll work on high-impact government digital initiatives in a collaborative, agile environment.
