Major State Government organization is looking for an experienced Data Migration Project Manager

Hybrid working model | 6 months + possible extensions | $900/day inclusive | Melbourne CBD

You will be part of a well established state government organization that offers a low-cost and accessible service for resolving a wide range of disputes, such as residential tenancies, planning and environment, civil claims, and human rights. It serves as an essential part of the justice system, ensuring that individuals and businesses can resolve their disputes efficiently and fairly.

About your Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Project Manager to lead and deliver end-to-end data migration initiatives across critical business systems. This role will manage planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement for complex data migration projects — ensuring high-quality delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience (8+ years) in project management with a focus on data migration, data integration, or system transition projects.
• Strong understanding of data migration methodologies, ETL processes, and data quality management.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise systems (e.g., must have Fabric: Data Migration) and preferrable (MS Dynamics experience).
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Hands-on experience in cloud migration or hybrid data platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Data Services, Fabrics, SQL, or other integration platforms.
