We’re now building ShookAI, a next generation self-serve platform that integrates AI natively into how advertisers plan, implement, and measure high-performing video ads on TikTok and other channels to scale the proven Shook Method from the largest advertisers to a wider user base.
To bring this vision to life, we’re looking for a Founding Engineer to join our 3-person engineering team as the first dedicated builder for the ShookAI product. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new product inside an established, fast-growing company with global traction, combining startup-style ownership with the backing of existing customers, capital, and market demand.
What You’ll Do
As the Founding Engineer for ShookAI, you’ll lead hands-on development of our next-generation platform, turning vision into working products through rapid, iterative builds.
We’re looking for an experienced full-stack engineer with strong product instincts, entrepreneurial drive, and the ability to build fast, test fast, and learn fast.
Shook is an AI-powered creative platform and service partner helping enterprise-level brands win in short-form video advertising. Our methodology, The Shook Method, combines data analysis, creative strategy, testing, and scalable UGC production.
We work with top growth teams at companies like Bolt, Delivery Hero, Eventbrite, and Amex. Headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, the team spans Europe and the Americas, with an increasingly global footprint.
We’re on a mission to transform how brands operate in the age of AI and short-form video, and ShookAI is the next big step in that journey.
Compensation Range: €70K - €82K

What You’ll Do
As the Founding Engineer for ShookAI, you’ll lead hands-on development of our next-generation platform, turning vision into working products through rapid, iterative builds.
- Take significant ownership of designing, prototyping, and implementing the first versions of the ShookAI platform together with the CEO and PM with real influence on all product-related choices.
- Build an AI-powered self-serve user flow that lets advertisers plan, launch, and measure video campaigns end-to-end with the proven Shook Method.
- Integrate leading AI tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs) directly into the product experience and enrich it with customer-level data from documents and ads APIs.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, custom LLM agents) to move fast and efficiently.
- Work closely with Shook’s Leadership, Product, Creative, and AI teams to translate real user workflows into usable software.
- Ship MVPs quickly, gather feedback from internal and pilot users, and iterate based on results.
- Have control over architectural choices without legacy restrictions.
- Lay the groundwork for a small, high-performing engineering team that you’ll help recruit and mentor (managerial role entirely optional)
We’re looking for an experienced full-stack engineer with strong product instincts, entrepreneurial drive, and the ability to build fast, test fast, and learn fast.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping software products (SaaS, AI, or creative tools ideal).
- Fluent in modern full-stack development such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Python or similar frameworks.
- Proven ability to build functional MVPs independently, from idea to live user testing.
- Deep familiarity with AI APIs and integrations (text, image, or video generation; vector databases; embeddings; automation).
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate coding with examples or references of such work.
- Strong product sense and appreciation for design and user experience.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration over detailed planning.
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments where ownership and pace are key, ideally among the very first developers.
- Based in Helsinki area or remote within EU time zones (with frequent visits to Helsinki HQ)
- Founding-level ownership and impact on a new AI product built inside an established company.
- Up to 1.5% stock option equity (165,000€ at current valuation vesting over 5 years) reflecting the strategic importance of this role.
- Gross Salary range of 70,000-82,000€ annually and benefits.
