Automation Engineers (Pharma)

European Recruitment is partnered with various leading life science organisations across Cork and Dublin, and we are continuously hiring experienced Automation Engineers for ongoing contract assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support automation systems within GMP manufacturing environments (Biotech/Pharma)
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise DeltaV DCS systems (primary skill focus)
• Develop and modify automation specifications, user requirements, and validation documents
• Manage system changes through the full lifecycle including testing and commissioning
• Support ongoing site automation improvements and compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with process, quality, and operations teams to ensure system readiness and performance

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in Automation Engineering roles within regulated Life Science facilities
• Strong technical background in Emerson DeltaV (Batch experience highly beneficial)
• Understanding of GAMP, cGMP and validation processes
• Experience with additional automation platforms (e.g., Rockwell, PLC/SCADA, PI) an advantage
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
