The Opportunity
This isn’t just another business development role. At Lacquire, you will own the full growth strategy - from defining new directions for the business to building the partnerships that bring them to life.
You’ll be the driving force behind our expansion: identifying and securing new payment partners, onboarding high-value merchants, and crafting the commercial vision that will guide Lacquire through its next phase of growth.
You’ll work closely with the founders, shape the product roadmap, and have the creative freedom to build the BD function your way. If you thrive in autonomy, enjoy operating without bureaucratic layers, and like to iterate fast - you’ll love it here.
What You Will Do:
- Define and execute Lacquire’s business development and partnership strategy across Europe and beyond.
- Build and manage a high-value pipeline of new payment partners, banks, PSPs, fintechs, and high-risk merchants.
- Expand Lacquire’s partner ecosystem, including acquirers, alternative payment methods, fraud tools, and integration partners.
- Lead merchant acquisition efforts, landing strategic clients in high-risk verticals.
- Shape Lacquire’s commercial messaging and GTM approach, including pricing, positioning, and partner materials.
- Provide market insights to influence product development and organizational priorities.
- Represent Lacquire at industry events, conferences, and with C-level stakeholders.
- Build the foundation of the BD organization, with the potential to grow a team as we scale.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales - ideally in payments, high-risk acquiring, fintech, or related financial services.
- A strong network in the payments ecosystem (acquirers, PSPs, processors, merchants, vendors).
- Demonstrated success closing complex, high-value deals and managing senior-level negotiations.
- Understanding of acquiring, payment routing, high-risk verticals, and merchant pain points.
- A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, execution-driven approach.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment with lots of freedom and little bureaucracy.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Fluency in English; Russian is a plus but not required.
