ABOUT US:

At Sportradar, security is an integral part of everything we do. As the Security Lead for our Managed Trading Solutions (MTS) - one of the largest and most business-critical engineering units - you will be responsible for overseeing and continuously improving the overall security posture of the MTS organization.


You will serve as the main point of contact for all security-related matters within MTS, ensuring alignment between engineering and global security objectives. Reporting directly to the VP, Information Security Advisory & Testing, you will be part of the Global Information Security Team, collaborating closely with Security Operations, Product Security, and Security GRC teams.


THE CHALLENGE:

As the Security Lead for MTS, your key responsibilities will include:


Security Oversight & Leadership: Own and oversee the security posture of the MTS organization, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with Sportradar’s global security strategy.

Technical Security Management:

  • Lead and coordinate vulnerability management, patch management, and system hardening activities.
  • Monitor security events and support incident response in collaboration with Security Operations.
  • Coordinate penetration testing activities and follow up on remediation actions.

Governance, Risk & Compliance:

  • Maintain and continuously improve internal security controls within MTS.
  • Support internal and external audits (ISO 27001, SOC 2, internal audits).
  • Ensure adherence to Sportradar’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Risk & Threat Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks related to MTS systems and processes.
  • Partner with Product Security to address design-level risks through threat modeling and secure development practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison between MTS and the Global Information Security organization.
  • Provide guidance and awareness to engineering leaders and teams on security best practices and controls.


ABOUT YOU:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Security, with a mix of technical and governance responsibilities.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proven hands-on experience in system administration, vulnerability and patch management, and security monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of network and application security principles.

Governance Knowledge:

  • Practical experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and internal audit frameworks.
  • Experience in maintaining and testing security controls across engineering environments

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar industry-recognized certifications.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance security priorities with business and engineering objectives.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
