In this role, you’ll lead the design and development of scalable solutions for high-performance platforms. You’ll collaborate with technology leaders and cross-regional teams to translate complex business requirements into reliable full-stack systems. Acting as a technical referent, you’ll drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, production-ready software that supports global operations.
Residing in Spain and being open to an independent contractor (freelance) engagement is mandatory.

Acting as a technical referent, you’ll drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, production-ready software that supports global operations.

What to Expect in This Role + Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications using Java or Golang and modern frontend frameworks
- Lead architecture and system design decisions to ensure performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Administer and optimize AWS resources, automations, and internal platforms supporting the engineering organization
- Promote best coding practices through code reviews, mentorship, and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Continuously identify and implement technical improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
- Strong experience with Java or Golang for backend development
- Proficiency with JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React)
- Hands-on experience working with cloud environments (especially AWS)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
- Proven ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Experience designing and supporting event-driven architectures
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in distributed teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Background in platform engineering, automation, or internal tooling
- Exposure to observability and monitoring tools
- Interest in optimizing engineering workflows and system performance
- 100% remote
