SOC Intern

About the Internship:

In this Internship, you will gain experience in SOC - Security Operations Centers work. You will learn how to monitor and analyze security alerts, investigate potential threats.

Location:

The position will be based in Madrid (Spain).

Experience you will gain:

• Monitor security events and alerts using advanced security tools (such as SIEM, IDS, and firewalls) to detect malicious activity.
• Analyze logs and network traffic to identify and assess potential security threats.
• Investigate security incidents and determine the appropriate response.
• Triage and prioritize security alerts, ensuring incidents are escalated when necessary.
• Assist in incident response activities, including containment, mitigation, and recovery.
• Support rule tuning and false positive reduction to improve detection accuracy.
• Ensure all security incidents are documented, assigned, and handled within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Contribute to security awareness by educating employees on best practices.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to align with industry standards.

Job Skills and Qualifications required:

• A strong analytical mindset and genuine interest in cybersecurity. You enjoy solving challenges and staying ahead of evolving threats.
• Ability to work effectively in both English and Spanish.
• Currently working on a thesis or graduated.
• Completed coursework in computer science, including subjects such as Networking, Linux, SQL, or Python.
• A cybersecurity certification is considered a strong plus.
