We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer (Swift/SwiftUI) to own the architecture, performance, and delivery of our transportation applications - ensuring reliable real-time trips, smooth navigation, and top-tier user experience.

As a senior member of our engineering team, you’ll lead the evolution of our iOS codebase, mentor others, and collaborate closely with backend and product teams to build resilient, scalable, and high-performing mobile solutions used daily by thousands of drivers and passengers across the U.S.

🧩 What You’ll Do

• Own app architecture: Drive a modular Swift/SwiftUI codebase using MVVM/Clean Architecture, async/await, and actors; define module boundaries, dependency rules, and testing strategy.
• Ship real-time trip experiences: Build reliable REST/gRPC layers, offline caching, and resilient networking (retries, backoff, idempotency) for offers, trip state, navigation, and earnings.
• Handle background & live surfaces: Implement BackgroundTasks for deferred work and URLSession background transfers; expose progress and trip state via Live Activities (lock screen/StandBy) and notifications.
• Location & telemetry: Implement energy-aware Core Location (significant-change, visit, region monitoring), background updates, and privacy-forward permission flows.
• Quality bar: Maintain fast startup, smooth rendering, and low battery/memory footprint; add traceable logs with os.log, crash reporting, and metrics dashboards.
• Testing & CI/CD: Write XCTest/XCUITest (including test plans) and snapshot tests; automate builds, signing, and TestFlight/App Store delivery with Fastlane + GitHub Actions.
• Design & accessibility: Partner with Design to follow HIG, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver, and color/contrast best practices; localize and support RTL where needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Backend (PHP/Laravel/MySQL/Redis/Horizon), Product, and Ops to define API contracts, performance budgets, and rollout plans.

🛠 Technical Skills

• Expert in Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and async/await, with solid UIKit knowledge
• Deep experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modularization
• Networking (REST/gRPC), data persistence (Core Data/Realm), secure keychain & ATS
• CI/CD: Fastlane, GitHub Actions, TestFlight & App Store delivery
• Performance profiling with Instruments and advanced debugging tools
• Accessibility and internationalization best practices
• Strong Git habits, code review leadership, and mentorship experience
• Full-stack literacy with PHP, Laravel, MySQL, Redis, Horizon, Go for end-to-end debugging

📈 Relevant Experience

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping iOS apps at scale
• Multiple production releases available on the App Store
• Proven experience hardening networking layers for poor connectivity and reliability
• Background in real-time, event-driven, or transportation/logistics applications is a plus
• Experience with A/B testing, feature flags, or remote configuration systems is welcomed
