What's the role?

This role will be part of our Manta Technology team and will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems for our advanced subsea nodes. These nodes are critical components in supporting today's high-performance data acquisition methods, where ultra-long endurance and reliability are the hallmarks of Manta's product line. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and analyze mechanical components for subsea nodes, ensuring robustness, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate mechanical designs into complete node systems
  • Conduct simulations and testing to validate mechanical performance under extreme underwater conditions
  • Support prototyping and field trials, including hands-on assembly and troubleshooting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of node design for enhanced durability, ease of deployment, and cost-efficiency
  • Help to facilitate and support the transition between design, manufacturing and support
  • Document designs and processes in accordance with industry standards and internal quality systems

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in marine, aerospace or automotive
