Android Developer

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with 8–10 years of strong hands-on experience in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Clean Architecture principles. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of both modern and legacy Android development, as well as a proven ability to implement accessibility (A11y) standards and integrate with RESTful APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Android mobile applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Work with legacy XML-based UI components where required, while contributing to the modernization of existing codebases.
• Implement coroutines for efficient asynchronous programming and improved app performance.
• Apply Clean Architecture principles to ensure maintainable and testable code.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs (REST) for backend data exchange.
• Ensure Accessibility (A11y) compliance and optimize user experience for all users.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, testers, and backend developers.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Perform unit testing and mobile application testing as part of the development lifecycle.

Essential Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin.
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and legacy XML-based UI.
• Deep understanding of Coroutines, Clean Architecture, and MVVM/MVI design patterns.
• Experience implementing Accessibility (A11y) features in Compose.
• Proficiency in RESTful API integration and mobile networking.
• Strong knowledge of Android application lifecycle and UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with mobile application testing and debugging tools.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Android.
• Familiarity with Jetpack libraries, Room, Hilt/Dagger, Navigation Component, and WorkManager.
• Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) or Compose Multiplatform.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and working within Scrum teams.
