Job Summary (List Format) – DevOps Middleware Resource

  • Serve as a key member of the DevOps team, focusing on middleware installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Automate application deployments and manage server resources using scripting and CI/CD tools.
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines for high availability and zero-downtime deployments.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Operations, and Release Management teams to streamline DevOps practices.
  • Empower and educate development teams to leverage self-service DevOps tools and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments, ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Manage and administer middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache) and cloud deployments (Azure, Kubernetes/AKS).
  • Ensure the security of deployments by managing certificates, patching vulnerabilities, and integrating authentication mechanisms.
  • Utilize configuration management tools (Ansible), scripting languages (Shell, Python), and build automation tools (Maven, npm, Docker).
  • Monitor infrastructure and applications using tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Nagios, or AppDynamics.
  • Participate in agile/scrum processes and contribute to process improvements.
  • Must be located within driving distance of Alpharetta, GA for a hybrid work schedule (2 days onsite).
  • Required to have 9+ years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare insurance environments.
  • Mandatory skills include Shell scripting, Python scripting, Jenkins, Docker/Podman, Tomcat administration, WebLogic administration, Apache administration, Linux administration, Kubernetes/AKS, and Ansible.
