Leads the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design chapter, setting design standards, sharing best practices and coaching designers to ensure high-quality, consistent and user-centered experiences across digital products.

Additional Details: This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Harrison, AR/Memphis, TN/Dallas,TX/Pittsburgh, PA/Lakeland, FL/Brookfield,WI. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.

Leads the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design chapter, setting design standards, sharing best practices and coaching designers to ensure high-quality, consistent and user-centered experiences across digital products.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to lead teams and engage effectively with all management levels.
- Lead workshops, training sessions, design reviews to foster knowledge sharing and ensure adoption of UX/UI best practices, guidelines and methodologies across designers embedded in agile pods.
- Establish and maintain UX/UI design standards to ensure consistency and quality across all digital products.
- Provide day-to-day coaching and feedback to designers to develop skills, foster creativity and support project delivery.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure design approaches meet business and user needs.
- Lead initiatives to improve design processes, tools, and workflows to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in UX/UI design
- Proven expertise in leading UX/UI design projects and managing design teams.
- Strong knowledge of design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication skills for articulating design concepts and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Ability to lead teams and engage effectively with all management levels.
- Advanced design and prototyping skills for creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
- Strong working knowledge of design systems, interaction design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG)
- Some travel required.
