Product Design is a key driving force for our products in Flipkart and we are constantly striving to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions towards directing business way-forwards, product strategy and more immediately design.

As a part of the product design team, we own the design from start to finish and we collaborate with a myriad of developers, product managers, business and marketing, content strategists, and researchers to deliver the best possible experience.

About the Role:

As a Product Designer II in the Flipkart Commerce Cloud (FCC) team at Flipkart, you will design products that will be used globally by retailers, sellers and brands around the world to help them optimize and scale their business.

For this role, we are looking for an experienced Designer who can balance systems thinking with user empathy, think through complex problems, has good interaction design skills all the while remembering that great products also look great. You will be responsible for using design thinking to solve complex problems & ship high-fidelity designs for new features & prototype solutions.

You will be working collaboratively with cross-functional partners like product management, engineering and business in a fast-paced environment.

You are responsible for:

• The experience of building scalable and complex SaaS products that work across geographies.
• Speaking to the Users, Business, Marketing and PMs to understand pain points and opportunities.
• Single-handedly drive designs and oversee the strategic and tactical deliverables related to that project.
• Delivering on the initiatives as per plan, while providing inputs to influence the larger problems we should be solving.
• Influencing the PMs and UI Engineering team to continuously make improvements to the product experience.
• Coach, provide guidance and feedback to designers around design quality.
• Actively contribute to building a design philosophy and North Star high fidelity prototype for a product/feature to influence product roadmap/strategy.
• Creates well-defined problem statements and metrics to ensure design solutions are achieving the right business and user outcomes.
• Define and understand business, product and design metrics.
• Will be working on 2 - 3 products, able to scope and prioritize the requirements.

• Practical experience with user research, solid interaction design skills and a good visual sense. Great at one or more of these.
• Self starter - You identify problems, think through, solve and then inform.
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders from across teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to work with and contribute to our Enterprise Design System.
