Could you be our new Data Scientist? Are you?

  • A Data Scientist with a strong record of delivering AI/ML solutions that drive commercial and customer impact?
  • Experienced in applying advanced models like XGBoost, Random Forests, LSTM, and transformers to solve real-world problems?
  • Skilled in Natural Language Processing and recommender systems, including the latest generation of LLMs?
  • Fluent in Python, R, and SQL, with hands-on experience working across large structured and unstructured datasets?
  • Confident using Git-based platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps) to collaborate and manage code effectively?
  • A data wrangler who can quickly extract key insights from disparate customer data sources?
  • A compelling data storyteller who can visualise and communicate insights using tools like PowerBI and Looker?
  • A proactive multi-tasker who thrives in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects and stakeholders with precision?

Your New Role

As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in shaping, crafting, and implementing innovative AI/ML solutions. Your role will include:

  • Employing advanced AI/ML and statistical methods to address a variety of business problems, with a key focus on NLP and recommender systems.
  • Applying Azure services to deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions.
  • Functioning as a subject matter expert in data science to provide counsel on various initiatives within the company.
  • Representing the data science function in senior-level discussions and driving a culture of evidence-based decision-making.
  • Collaborating with data engineers to prepare high-quality datasets and with ML engineers to deploy and optimise models.
  • Ensuring models meet technical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Resolving complex model performance issues and guiding junior team members.
  • Remaining at the forefront of data science and NLP through assessing emerging methods and conveying insights clearly to the business.
